EducationProviding a learning environment - academic and vocational
- Supports the classroom environment
- Students concentrate on creative principles without being distracted by programming issues
- Teachers can focus students on design tasks
The neatComponents system inherently supports the classroom environment (both on-campus and distance-based). For example, where the tutor needs to provide defined tasks, they can be provided in the form of template sites, which the students then have to extend or complete. Access can be restricted by IP address (to the campus network) or require username and password authentication.
Supports a wide syllabus:
- Fundamentals of website construction
- Graphic design
- Database design and implementation
- Content management design
- Audience and market segmentation
- Usability testing
- Agile development
- Search engine optimization
- Principles of security and user access
- Issues of lifecycle and total cost of ownership
- Server management and network topology
Long-term student support
The rate-limited license is designed to allow students to have their own license for free, and to be able to complete projects, both for their education, and as a foothold in the commercial world. Only when usage gets above a threshold do students need to pay for their license.
